David Deane Spread

David Deane-Spread is an executive performance & behavioural coach, educator, strategic facilitator and author.  His special interests are Attitudinal Competence, Leadership Development, Corporate Improvement and Resolving Human Dysfunction in the workplace and community by helping them develop methods they can use themselves.

He developed the model for training for Attitudinal Competence (Att-C®) and authored the workbook "Master the Power of Your Attitudes" published in December 2004 by Ajna Publishers.   

He developed the delivery retention method “FaCTTS®” which is responsible for the high success rate of his workshop participants and the benchmark of 1000% return on investment for his clients.

He founded the Global Alliance for Attitudinal Competence and Leadership Development (GAFACALD) a not-for-profit educational entitywithout religious political or commercial bias.  GAFACALD’s purpose is to deliver Attitudinal Competence and Leadership Development to as many people globally as possible, regardless of status or means, on the basis that great attitudes and great leadership will help to bring peace, abundance and sustainability to the planet more so than anything else.

He is a contributing author of "You Lead and They'll Follow" Volume 3, recently published by McGraw-Hill.
He is a past president of WA chapter of the National Speakers Association of Australia and a member of the Open Space Institute of Australia. He is an advisor to the board of the WA No Interest Loans Service "WANILS", a government funded community development initiative, whose board is recognised as a leader in governance of not-for-profit organisations.

He has more than 30 years operational experience in military, law-enforcement and commercial leadership. He is a graduate of both military and law-enforcement commissioned officer academies.

David is an internationally trained NLP (“neuro-linguistic programming”) Master Practitioner and Open Space Technology facilitator, and is a military-trained performance coach. He is a Reiki Master and a reasonable didgeridoo player!

His last Army posting was second-in-command of Australia’s Military Police School. He also led a covert operations team of the former Australian Narcotics Bureau (now merged with the Australian Federal Police), and later led a Task Force in the same organisation.

He has served as a company director and CEO in commerce in Australia and overseas, including publishing, medical equipment manufacturing, bio-chemical manufacturing, microbiological research and development. He has chaired a professional dance company, been an executive producer of son-et-lumiere. He is an experienced didjeridu player and teacher.

David is often asked to deliver keynote speeches relating to his topics of great attitudes and great leadership.
